Medicinal Corner

The Medicinal Corner was created in 1995 with the collaboration of the Chinese Agricultural and Technical Team (CATT) at the corner of Shrimati Indira Gandhi Avenue and the one that leads to the Old Sugar Mill Model. The corner has been restored in May 2009. It comprises of some 100 species which further add to the Botanical collection at the Garden.

Spice Corner

This corner can be considered as the base line for the creation of this Garden. It is close to Liénard Obelisk that is, at the corner of Labourdonnais and Liénard avenues. Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans), Clove (Syzygium aromaticum), Cinnamonum (Cinnamonum verum) and several other spices are grown there. It is worth mentioning that cloves were introduced to Zanzibar island from here.
